Kennedy Builders team have worked tirelessly through some notable local weather events (e.g. the 2021 West Coast flooding, Nelson flooding in 2022 and the tornado that went through Nelson during 2023 as well as the 2025 weather event in Invercargill); our team prioritised client’s safety, immediately responding to those dwellings requiring urgent attention (i.e. with safety concerns).

Earthquake Rebuilds

Kennedy Builders had a team of builders working in Christchurch to complete repairs and rebuilds after the catastrophic 2011 earthquakes, and likewise after the devastating Kaikoura earthquake in 2016. During this time of hardship for locals, we were so proud of our team for demonstrating compassion and empathy as we worked with those who were deeply affected by these disastrous events

Ministry Of Education Upgrades

Kennedy Builders has previously worked for Ministry of Education in facilities renovations and upgrades at local schools. This work felt especially rewarding as we helped to create better learning spaces and resources for our next generation; something we’re so proud of.

Department Of Conservation Facilities

Kennedy Builders has been fortunate enough to work with the Department of Conservation in some exciting projects – namely the re-build of Anchorage Hut (a 34-bed hut located on the esteemed Abel Tasman Great Walk) and the Momorangi Bay Campground facilities in Queen Charlotte Sound. As lovers of the outdoors ourselves, it was such a privilege to contribute to our amazing facilities in our scenic backyard.
